Pahoitteluni siitä, että uutta materiaalia tulee niin harvakseltaan ja lähes kaikki postaukset ovat tälläisiä nostalgiapostauksia…
No, joka tapauksessa tänään kuulin, että vuosia Facebookissa pelaamani (fluff)Friends-peli ajetaan alas. Kävin sitten läpi vuosien varrella askartelemiani ja peliin tallentamiani profiilikuvia ja tallensin niitä koneelle. Mukana oli myös pitkä seikkailu “Tale of the Lost Sis” vuodelta 2008. Ensimmäinen virtuaalilemmikkini pelissä oli vaalea pupu nimeltään BooBoo. Spesiaalibonuksena julkaistut pikkupupuhahmot olisi saanut ostaa oikealla rahalla, jota en peliin käyttänyt, mutta sain ne lahjaksi muilta pelaajilta. Kiitokseksi lahjoittajille lupasin tehdä jatkokertomuksen, jossa kerron pupuhahmojen tarinan. Tallennuspäivämääristä päätellen seikkailu jatkui kesäkuusta lokakuuhun ja kesti kaikkiaan 30 paneelin verran. Koko tarina on siis toteutettu pelissä silloin käytettävissä olleilla elementeillä.

However, today I heard that Facebook-game I’ve been playing for years, called (fluff)friends, is going to be discontinued. I browsed through all the gamer profile pictures I had made and saved during the years to save them for my own computer as memory. Among them was a long adventure from year 2008 called “Tale of the Lost Sis”. My first virtual pet in that game was fair bunny (“leppit” in game) called BooBoo. Baby bunny characters were released as a special bonus and one could have bought them with real money, that I did not use for the game. Other players gave them to me as gifts though, and as a thank you for them I promised to tell the story of the characters in continuous series of gamer profile pictures. Whole story continued from June to October and lasted for 30 panels altogether. Whole story was told with props that then were available in the game.

Epilogina jännittävälle seikkailulle vietettiinkin sitten Halloween-bileitä.
As an epilogue for the adventure, bunnies had a Halloween party.
Fluffeilla toteutettua materiaalia löytyy vielä jokunen muutaman ruudun mittainen tarinan tynkä, usein juuri Halloweenin vietosta, koska Halloweenin aarrejahti oli yksi pelin vuosittaisia kohokohtia. Lisäksi olen joskus suunnitellut vastaavaa pidempää tarinaa myöhempien aikojen virtuaalilemmikistäni Matara-variksesta – joskin siinä tarinassa ei varmasi olisi puoleksikaan yhtä paljoa käänteitä. Saa nähdä saanko aikaiseksi ja ehdinkö ennen kuin peli lakkaa olemasta.
I still have some few-panels-long story stubs of material made with Fluffs. Most of them are about preparing and celebrating Halloween, since Halloween hunt was one of the annual highlights of the game. Besides them existing ones, I’ve been sometimes planning similar longer story of my later times pet, Matara the crow – but I guess that story would not have half as much twists in the plot. Time will tell if I get it done before the game totally ceases to exist.
